Job Description:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating and closing business relationships and partnerships. The right candidate has strong sales and communications skills and is experienced in identifying new business strategies and opportunities for companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Explores and discovers new business ideas and opportunities for building out member-base and partnerships
  • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements and by tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments
  • Locates and recommends business deals with potential partners
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Keeps informed about industry and potential ideas by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in networking events
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience; degree in business administration or marketing preferred
  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role
  • Good prospecting and sales skills
  • Good closing and negotiating skills
  • Strong appetite for data-driven experimentation
  • Solid presentation skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Excellent ability to build and maintain relationships and partnerships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
